Notes:

  1. You must register before participating in the Evangelist Program.
  2. The points rules above were updated on October 30, 2026 and take effect once published. Previously approved points are retained and will not be recalculated retroactively because of these rule changes.
  3. If multiple people report the same bug, only the first submitter receives points.
  4. The HOW 2026 speaker bonus is awarded once per person at 30 points. It cannot be combined with other speaking or sharing points for the same talk. Previously approved points remain subject to the historical-points retention principle.
  5. Apply each promotion subcategory’s own annual cap first, then combine the four promotion subcategories, subject to a maximum of 60 points per person per year. A single promotion record cannot be scored under multiple promotion categories. Once a cap is reached, excess contributions do not add effective points.
  6. Articles, standalone videos, Zhihu recommendations, and other promotion are credited by their actual publication date; events by the date held; technical answers by their publication date; Issues by their acceptance date; bugs by their confirmation date; and PRs by their merge date. Complete courses, migration case studies, and other contributions are credited by the date of review confirmation.

FAQ

How do I participate?
Please fill out the form first. All evangelism activities should be coordinated with the community operations team before proceeding.

Is 100 points hard to achieve?
Not at all. 100 points ≈ 3-4 in-depth articles, or 2 articles + 1 talk. Very achievable.

Do PostgreSQL-only articles count?
Yes, but at half the points (15 points). We encourage IvorySQL-focused content.

Can points carry over to 2027?
No. This program is for the 2026 calendar year only.

How do I check my points?
We will periodically open a submission channel for uploading proof of contributions and will verify them on a unified schedule.

Open source communities aren't built by a few "rockstars" — they're built by people like you. People who share, help, write one more doc, answer one more question.

You don't need to be an expert to get started. But once you start, you'll be seen.

The IvorySQL evangelist stage is ready. The spotlight will shine on everyone who truly loves open source and is willing to share.
